How to interpret the portfolio, prototypes, research materials, and AI-assisted results.

01 / A personal portfolio

lansiyao.com is Siyao Lan's (兰斯尧 / Lancer) personal portfolio and working record. It presents creative work, learning, engineering, and research in the context described on each page. Views are personal unless a page expressly identifies another source or an authorised institutional statement. This disclaimer was updated on 3 October 2026.

A portfolio entry should be read as a record of the work and stage identified there. Dates, collaborators, references, and licence notices help establish that context. When reusing a fact or quoting a work, preserve its source and attribution rather than treating a brief portfolio description as the full underlying record.

02 / Research and publication status

Research completion, submission, review, acceptance, formal publication, and preprint release are distinct stages. Read each item’s stated status. Completion does not imply acceptance or publication. Claims and figures should be read with the methods, data, version, and limitations that support them; publication status follows the current original record.

A link to a paper or repository helps identify the source; it does not mean every result has been independently reproduced by the Site operator. Comparisons depend on their datasets, baselines, and evaluation conditions. Later corrections or new versions may change what an earlier summary supports.

03 / AI-assisted research results

Research tools generate exploratory material with external models. Their outputs can contain inaccurate facts, invented references, incomplete reasoning, or code that fails. Scores and suggested ideas are not certified findings of novelty, feasibility, patentability, or publication readiness. Verify sources, reproduce important calculations, and test code before relying on an output. Responsibility for the eventual research claim rests with the person using and validating it.

04 / Engineering and physical safety

Engineering and robotics pages may show prototypes, simulations, experiments, or demonstrations under limited conditions. Performance shown in a simulation or a particular test does not establish the safety or reliability of a physical system in other environments. Before deploying hardware, independently assess the design, operating conditions, hazards, and applicable requirements, and carry out suitable physical testing and safeguards.
