02 / Browsing and basic records
Public pages can be read without a required Site account. The Site records aggregate views and uses a pseudonymous identifier to deduplicate visits. Hosting infrastructure necessarily receives request information, such as an IP address and browser details, and may keep operational or security logs under its own rules. The Site does not use third-party advertising pixels or a third-party analytics service.
03 / Likes and public comments
Likes and comments use a pseudonymous visitor identifier to recognise ownership and limit duplicate actions. If a platform-authenticated identifier is available, a hashed form may be used for that purpose. A submitted comment's display name, text, and date are public. Choose a name and content you are comfortable publishing. Removing a comment hides it through soft deletion; it does not immediately erase the stored record.
04 / Cookies and browser storage
The necessary lancer_visitor cookie can last up to one year and supports visitor recognition, likes, comments, and view deduplication. Theme and language preferences are saved in the browser. Research task identifiers use sessionStorage. A signed research guest cookie lasts seven days. You can clear these through browser settings; doing so may reset preferences or remove the browser's ability to recognise an interaction or retrieve a task.
05 / Research inputs and processing
Research tools process the topics, excerpts, instructions, and files you submit to run the requested task and return its result. Selected topics or excerpts, together with the necessary research harness prompt context, are sent to the model provider you choose. Inputs are handled through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure and a private backend hosted on Render in the United States. Private inputs are not publicly showcased by the Site.
06 / Model providers and locations
Available providers include OpenAI, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, Anthropic, Gemini, and MiniMax. Your selection determines the provider receiving model requests; hosting and processing may involve China, the United States, or other regions. Hosts and providers may retain logs under their own policies. The webpage does not provide private backend source code. Model providers receive the prompts and context needed to perform a task, so consider their data policies before submitting confidential material.
07 / Your API key
A visitor-supplied API key is used in memory and in transmission to execute the task. It is not stored in persistent browser storage, the Site's D1 database, or downloadable task files. The chosen provider receives the credential needed to authenticate its requests. Keep your key private, use suitable spending limits, and revoke it through the provider if you suspect exposure.
08 / How long records remain
Research task and result access lasts seven days from task creation. Expired tasks are cleaned up when the backend admits new work, so expiry does not promise immediate physical erasure. The backend's filtered task-state cache lasts up to 24 hours; raw files are removed during processing cleanup. Public interaction records follow the handling described above. Host or model-provider logs are governed separately by those services.
09 / Uses and necessary disclosures
Information is used to provide requested features, maintain reliable operation, address abuse, and respond to enquiries. The Site does not collect website payments or operate advertising pixels or a marketing subscription list. Information may be disclosed where an applicable legal duty requires it or where necessary to address a concrete security incident. Submit only material you are entitled to process, and avoid unnecessary personal or confidential information.
10 / Requests and policy changes

Only information reasonably needed to verify the request will be sought. Verified requests will be handled promptly.
